About AMIP

Africa Media-Image Project, Inc. (AMIP) is a U.S.-based, education oriented, multi-media organization working to bridge the information gap between the United States and African countries. Using innovative and relatable media programs and products designed to correct misinformation about each region and address media stereotypes, the organization and its subsidiaries AMIP News (www.amipnewsonline.org) and AMIP Productions, focuses on covering and distributing news on all the important developments that transpire between the United States and African countries. The organization is credited with creating the  Africa Minute TV/Online Series™,  African Ambassador News Conference Series™, The United States & (African Country) History/ Picture Book Series and The African President U.S. State Visit Documentary Series. AMIP also advises various African governments and embassies on media related matters within the U.S. market. AMIP’s vision is to re-present Africa in U.S. media and better educate Africans about the American people. The organization’s operations is overseen by an international board of educators, broadcasters, authors and Africanists resident in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Ghana. The organization is tax exempt – 501(c)(3) – and eligible to receive charitable contributions.
